Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture

The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture is one of the New York Public Library’s reowned research libraries. It is is a world-leading cultural institution devoted to the research, preservation, and exhibition of materials focused on African American, African Diaspora, and African experiences.

In this library you can find all things that have to deal with not only Harlem culture, but black culture as well. This is an important center as it is incredible to have a resource around where anybody can come in to educate themselves on black history.

They also offer a range of ways to access our research services online through Scan & Deliver, other expanded research services, online research assistance, our Digital Collections, the Schomburg Shop, and more.
