AFRIKUMBA UTIBE DRUMMERS teams up with MAKE MUSIC NEW YORK for their annual festival of free concerts that take place in public spaces across New York City annually on June 21st,
Bring your drum and join us in Harlem for 1,000 DRUMS CRYING FOR PEACE which was founded in 2017 and is led by Andre Small with the vision to bring drummers of all backgrounds together for a common cause, PEACE.
Afrikumba Utibe Drummers is led by Andre Small, who along with his Drummers, beat out rhythms that make you remember why we as a people love music. They play their drums from their heart and souls with that Calypso African fusion beat that makes you want to dance, love, move until you drop, and release your spirit from your daily struggles.
Make Music New York is a unique festival of free concerts in public spaces throughout the five boroughs of New York City. All of the performances take place annually on June 21st, the first day of summer and longest day of the year. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music New York is open to anyone who wants to take part.
